South Haven offers Summer Camp for children who will be 5 years old before August 1, 2024, through the completion of 5th grade.
Our goal is to introduce Jesus to children by meeting the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual needs of the children and their families.
We are committed to providing a safe, loving, Jesus-centered environment where children are provided with a spiritual foundation upon which future knowledge can be built. This summer will include swimming, crafts, academic enrichment, science experiments, movies, field trips, and Bible study.
It’s sure to be a summer filled with excitement and we can’t wait to spend it with you!

Meet Our Summer Camp Coordinator!
My name is Kaylie Cameron. My husband Kevin and I will have been married two years on June 4th. We have three dogs King, Alabama, and Polly, who are like children to us. I currently work during the school year as a substitute teacher at Archie School District. Growing up, I attended South Haven with my parents since I was just a kid, until we moved to Archie my sophomore year of high school. After getting married, my husband and I set out to find a home church. We found ourselves at South Haven and have been attending together for nearly two years. I am looking forward to combining my love for teaching with my faith and giving the kids at Summer Camp a fun environment to learn about Jesus.
Common Questions & Answers
How do I contact summer camp staff with any questions or concerns?
Please call 816-322-0409 or email summercamp@southhavenchurch.org. During pick-up and drop-off times, there will always be a Director or Assistant Director that you can speak to in person.
Is there certain paperwork to allow someone else to pick up my child?
On the registration packet there is a place where you can list people who can pick up your child besides yourself. If a pick up change happens after completion of these forms, please notify the Camp Director.
Is it okay if my work schedule fluctuates and I don’t drop my child off at the same time every day?
Yes, you are able to drop off or pick up your child at any time between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. It is important that you are in communication with the summer camp staff about any changes in your drop-off/pick-up times.
How early do you open and what is the latest they can be picked up?
The earliest you can drop off your child is 7:00 a.m. and the latest you can pick up your child is 6:00 p.m. There will be a $15 late fee for every additional 15 minutes after 6:00 p.m.
What is the age range of the summer camp staff?
All summer camp staff are currently in high school, college, or older. All summer camp staff have completed a background check and comply with the staff handbook. The Camp Director and Assistant Director have been certified in first aid, CPR, and AED.
On pool days, do the kids need to bring a change of clothes?
Your child will need to bring a swimsuit (one piece only for girls). They will change into their swimwear after lunch and then change back into their clothes after pool time.
What else is allowed on pool days?
A camper does not need to bring anything more than a swimsuit, towel, goggles (if they choose), sunscreen, empty water bottle, and any required medications. We ask that you apply sunscreen to your child before dropping them off at camp. Please send their personal supply of sunscreen with them each day.
