Awana starts August 21st!

South Haven runs Awana programing throughout the school year. Programming starts at 6:30pm, on Wednesday evenings and goes to 8:00pm.  Awana is a discipleship program that is designed to encourage children to have a strong relationship with Jesus. Each evening consists of a large group gathering, a game time, and small groups.

We also have the Connection Cafe located in the gym as an option for families to eat dinner. The cost is $3 a person and serving begins at 5:30pm.

What is Puggles?

In many circles, “puggle” is a common term for a baby platypus. In children’s ministry circles, Awana Puggles is an enriching program for pre-Cubbies kids (usually older 2-year-olds and younger 3-year-olds) that presents basic biblical concepts through teaching cards, activities, music and games.

What is Cubbies?

Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers (ages 4 to 5) by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.

What is Sparks?

Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids (kindergarten-2nd grade) to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

What is T&T?

T&T (Truth & Training) curriculum teaches kids (grades 3-6) the truth of God’s Word, trains them to follow Him and practice His grace.

The Cost is $25 per child. This includes 30+ hours of Awana programing and

Addressing an important question from parents:

What if my child has a shirt/book from last year, do I have to pay the yearly cost?

Great question! Yes, each year there is a program cost per clubber. We averaged out Awana costs (books, vest, shirts, awards, and partnership fees for all ages) and considered the Awana recommended $30 per clubber. We wanted to bring the cost down to $25 a clubber to help families out. We use a lot of church budget money to off-set program costs and then there are endless other areas that this helps. An example of this would be the “Awana Store” where clubbers earn shares to receive prizes.
