It Matters: SundaySchool

“If it matters to God,
it matters to me.”
Your Invitation
Answering the question, “Why should I consider Sunday School?”
“Sunday School” is a term most people recognize. Today many churches use other names for their small group Bible studies and that’s fine. The name is not near as important as the function. Whether you call it a cell, life, home, small, or Bible study group, it still has certain qualities about it that make it important. And “Sunday School” still remains the most broadly recognizable term in use.
Most believers who follow Jesus see the importance of a place and time where Christians can live out their faith in a community. That community assists them in the journey of learning and growing as a spiritual person, in compassionately sharing the process with others on the journey, and in inviting still others to embrace personally what it means to follow Jesus. These are the elements that matter for the believer and for Sunday School.
At South Haven Baptist Church we continue to pursue this three part design in what we do each Sunday morning in our small group Bible studies. You might call that “Sunday School” at your house. We do at mine.
If you already participate in Sunday School here at SHBC - great! You already know the value of community for spiritual progress. If you are just now considering becoming part of what we do here in Sunday School - great! You are looking in the right place. Let me extend this invitation to you to attend this Sunday morning. Then you, too, can begin experiencing the many benefits of Sunday School.
See you Sunday in Sunday School!
