Our next mission trip will be to Gulfport Mississippi, January 7th – 11th. Watch for upcoming planning meetings. Purpose:  SHBC Missions exists to develop and lead mission projects in the United States and throughout the world by seeking church members to volunteer their time and resources for mission trips. 

Mission House:  SHBC has their own Mission Residence to provide temporary housing for missionaries that just arrived back to the states.  The committee is responsible for maintaining the residence, approving residents and purchasing items for the residence.

Where We Have Been:  The Missions Committee has only been in existence for two years!  Since that time we have sent 30 people to the New Orleans area on two separate mission trips. 

Where We Are Going:  We will go wherever God leads us to go.  There are opportunities locally as well as further away. 

How can you get involved?  Watch for opportunities to go on mission trips both local and abroad.  Contact someone on the committee and let them know your interest in missions.  Attend disaster relief training sessions as they come up.  Pray for the missions effort at SHBC.
